Lesson Policies 

 

How to prepare for your lesson:

    Riders are expected to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled lesson to groom and tack up, and to allow 30 minutes afterward for untacking and proper horse care, including turn out. Riders are expected to properly groom their horses, clean and return all tack to its designated place, and leave the grooming area clean and swept.

What to wear:

  • An ASTM/SEI approved riding helmet

  • Properly fitted riding boots or boots that have a 1⁄2” heel

  • Riding breeches, jodhpurs, leggings, or long pants

  • Gloves and insulated clothing in colder months

  • A protective riding vest (optional)

Cancellation Policies

    A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson to avoid being charged for the missed session. Make-up lessons can be arranged for absences with proper notice. To reschedule please email elevateequestrian1@outlook.com.

    For the safety and focus of both riders and horses, spectators are welcome to observe from

designated seating areas located in our indoor and outdoor arenas.

Terms and Conditions

 

Assumption of Risk

    Horseback riding is a physical activity that involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, bites, kicks, and unpredictable animal behavior. By participating in any activity at Elevate Equestrian, riders and guardians acknowledge and accept these risks.

Release of Liability

    Participants (or their legal guardians) agree to release and hold harmless Elevate Equestrian, its owners, coaches, staff, and volunteers from any liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in riding or related activities, except in cases of gross negligence.

 

Helmets and Safety

    ASTM-approved riding helmets must be worn at all times while mounted. Proper footwear and appropriate attire are required. Riders who do not comply with safety rules may be asked to dismount.

Rider Conduct

    All riders are expected to treat horses, staff, and other riders with respect. Unsafe behaviour may result in removal from a lesson or program.

Cancellations & Weather

    Lessons may be canceled or modified due to weather, horse health, or safety concerns.

Medical Authorization

    In the event of an emergency, Elevate Equestrian has permission to seek medical treatment for riders if guardians cannot be reached. All costs are the responsibility of the participant/guardian.

Photography & Media

    By participating, you grant permission for photos or videos taken at the facility to be used for marketing and promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.

Property Use

    Participants agree to follow all posted rules and instructions. Elevate Equestrian is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.

Agreement

    By enrolling in any program or service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
